We take the safeguarding of our pupils and their families very seriously here at Burton upon Stather Primary School. We have two safeguarding leads and all members of our team receive annual safeguarding training, including governors, volunteers and pupils.
Our Designated Safeguarding Leads are Mr Steve Woodhouse and Miss Poppy Mallett. It is their job, and that of the Safeguarding Team to ensure that the welfare of all our pupils is the best that we can provide. Our primary consideration is that of the child and their wellbeing, be that physically, mentally or emotionally. All incidents, comments and allegations will be fully investigated and where necessary, referred to the appropriate local authority team.
A referral can be made by anyone, including members of the public, if they have concerns regarding the safety of a child. Within the school, a referral will be made by one of the Designated Safeguarding Leads. If you have any concerns regarding the wellbeing of a child, please call North Lincolnshire's Children's Services (SPoC - Single Point of Contact) you can do this anonymously if you wish. Please see details below.

Supporting people when concerns are raised can be very difficult and distressing for everyone involved. Deciding what’s the right thing to do can be stressful, particularly if the person you are concerned about is reluctant to accept support.
