This week we created our prototypes for our bridge project. They used a design criteria to see evaluate their plans and next steps before we build our final versions next week.
To start our OAA PE topic, we started with a problem solving game called leap frog. We had lots of fun working with our partners and challenging ourselves with bigger grids.
Following our school trip, we are going to write recounts of our day. We started this by create plans as a group while the day is fresh in our memories.
Diwali Day, in preparation for Diwali we had visitors who taught us the story of Diwali.
We started our new topic with a trip to Murton Park, we got to experience what life would have been like living in a real life Viking village.
In preparation for our new topic 'Traders and Raiders' we created our own Viking long boat art work. We were able to choose between water colours or oil pastels. We can't wait to show you the finished pieces.
To start off our science unit on sound, we investigated how we thought sound was made using different instruments.
Year 4 was the lucky class to take part in a folk music workshop. The children got to learn how to play different instruments and even performed to the whole school during assembly.
This week, we had the opportunity learn some basic first aid skills.
Today in DT, we followed a recipe and baked some delicious roman breads. We spoke about food hygiene and safety and worked in groups to complete the recipe. Next week, we are writing our own recipes.
