Homework

We encourage all children to read for pleasure at home at least three times a week and this forms part of every child’s homework. Times tables and spellings (tub words for younger children) may also be sent on a regular basis and any support you can give your child in learning these will be of great benefit. On a weekly basis each child in KS1 will receive homework related to what they have been learning about during the week. In KS2, pupils will be set slightly more homework, which may involve research in preparation for future learning. Other homework will be set at the teacher’s discretion, for example to complete unfinished tasks or to encourage your child to work more independently. Sometimes it is more appropriate to set projects to be completed over a number of weeks. Here are some examples of our project work.
